St. Louis Missouri, A Must-See

Our stop in St. Louis. A view of the arch.

There are always two thoughts when I come home from a vacation. One, it's good to be home. And two, I didn't take enough pictures.

I guess I was hoping that the photographer from my brother's wedding would take care of those. I'll see those in a few weeks I'm sure.

Meanwhile, our stop in St. Louis was so nice. We actually got to ride up in the arch and see the view from above. The ride was cool, sitting in a five-person "tram." Not a good idea for anyone with claustrophobia.

Magnificent. 630 feet above ground.

According to the St. Louis brochures, there is so much to do there, from letting the kids tour a museum at night with flashlights to hanging out with the cool crowd (college kids) in the "Loop" area enjoying the eats.

Both Husband and I were surprised how urban it was but nonetheless, we all had a great time.

  1. every time i pop over to your *actual* blog, from my google reader, you've changed things!! hahaha! :)

anyway, i love st louis. well, i should say that i've loved the parts of it that i've seen. which are really just the park around the arch. but that's really lovely :) glad you had a great time :)

  2. I dont know if I could brave the arch. ;)

  3. My MIL used to live in St. Louis and adored the city but hated the nasty thunderstorms. We would always go to the St.Louis Zoo and to the botanical gardens:-) I couldn't do the arch, too tight for me. I'm happy to hear you guys had fun!

  4. I just loved the pictures. It´s great to have a chance to get to know a place through someone´s else eyes. Kisses and God bless you!

  5. Good to take a vacation now & then! I haven't had one of those in a while! I am claustrophobic, so not sure how I would have handled that arch ride!

  6. I grew up in St. Louis, and am always interested to hear the perspectives of visitors. Went back a few years ago for a HS reunion and took hubby. He could not go up in the arch. Those trams freaked him out! LOL

  7. Loved your site! It's very fresh and unique:)
I love St. Louis (and Hubby loves too:)). Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)

  8. I'm a local St. Louisan, and so glad to hear that you enjoyed the city! There's so much to see, but it can be hard to navigate if you don't know where to find it. Looks like you had success!

What are your thoughts?
