I'm Off And Running - Into Spring Fashion

I made a decision about a month ago that I was going to become a 'dress' girl this spring and summer. I'm too old for short-shorts, it's usually too humid here in the Midwest for capris, and bermudas are just plain ugly on me.

Then I saw this pretty thing and I'm crushing on it. *sigh* I want one. It's from H&M's 2011 Spring collection.

As a mother of three, I'm not sure the deep v-neck is appropriate and just because I said I want to wear dresses, doesn't mean short dresses. But it's so pretty with the scalloped bottom isn't it?

Last year, I did buy this dress on clearance for $7, yes, se-ven-dollars! (original price $70) from JC Penney and have yet to wear it!

So it will probably be the first dress I wear when the weather is nice (I'm thinking around May!) Meanwhile, that gives me plenty of time in these:

The treadmill is my best friend right now. I've had enough of the snow and I can't wait for Spring! What's your fashion agenda for this spring and summer?

I thought I was having a flashbak! I knew I remembered that dress! The treadmill and I had an affair, and thats about as far as I got ;) Link up if you would like, but have a great weekend. We have a monk with pink eye :(

I love the hemline on the first dress! Both dresses are very cute and I LOVE a deal. I tend to do the bermudas. It gets up to 115+ in AZ in the summer so it's a matter of survival. Every year it's a challenge to figure out which shorts will fit and flatter. I usually lean towards the looser Docker style shorts. That said, I ordered my first summer dress this week! ;-)

Love the idea of wearing dresses. I was thinking the other day, I need to seriously do some up-dating. Some dresses would be fun.

I can't wait for spring. We had more snow this morning.

Thanks for following and stopping by my blog. Nice to meet you.

Oh my goodness. I just saw a cute dress on Old Navy.com last night and thought, "I need to wear more dresses this summer." Too funny!

That dress is darling!! I like your proposition to get into dresses more. I think I will take on that challenge this spring to. I may not care much for my legs but, hey, they are only getting older so better embrace em' while I still got something! hahaha;0

I'm a jeans girl. I live in So Cal and wear jeans no matter how hot it is. I am committed to trying to add more color to my wardrobe this spring. Maybe I'll try to throw a couple dresses in there. Love your blog! I'm a new follower.

I've told my husband that if I could afford it, I would wear a dress or skirt every day of spring and summer. I adore sun dresses! Have fun with yours! :)

Such a good idea- because as much as my hubby may like it, I am not wearing short shorts- but I don't like LONG ones either. Sick of capris all the time, dresses & skirts, a good idea! Thanks!

I love the scalloped bottom, but yeah I feel the same way about the top. I've been hitting the treadmill and weights too. Summer will be here before you know it. Ahhhhh.
